What's the best way to set up an account for another person?

Every once in a while I'll need to set up an account for an external expert. Is it best to add a new user via the "add new user" interface in admin, or to ask the expert to just "sign up" from the homepage?

The advantage of doing it for them is that it can all be set up and their first experience can be just to get a question via email and all they have to do is click on "answer this". You will need to send them their password and tell them to change it of course.

If they are a tad more involved it's ideal that they set it up themselves because they can add the picture and bio as they'd like to see it. It really only takes 60 seconds to register.

So, there's no "better" way. Usually I set it up for them and then send it to them in advance for them to add/change the pic/bio. That way I make sure that at least there is a pic/bio.
